Paint colors!!!

Last thursday our addition received its first coat of paint. It's looking more like a home everyday. Well not today because no one showed up to work :)
When it rains the world stops for these people (working inside or out working stops) well I take it back Mr Allen, my painter, who I adore did come this morning and we decided on a stain color for my doors. *if anyone in Oxford needs a great painter I can for sure help you out*
I took a few pictures of a couple of rooms and remember this is just the first primer coat...

My paint is from Farrell Calhoun
This is the master bedroom ... the wall is grey stroke and the ceiling is restful retreat.

Master Bath
Walls are Beacon Fog
Ceiling is Breakwater

My doors are up too!
We are staining them in
Modern Walnut
Trim and crown molding still have to be hung and painted in some places.

Our Den
Walls are Oak tone
Ceiling is breakwater

They are hopefully starting the tile in my master bathroom on Friday! I can't wait!!! Will update again when we have more progress :)

House update!

A House update with TONS of pictures!

It was so fun to watch the walls go up day by day!

Next we had the beginnings of a roof and some walls...

This is our side yard where John's garage will be and on the backside will be "the in-law suite"

Bricks are going up and yes we did paint them :)

This is the cypress that my dad gave us that was cut from the land his hunting camp is on, not only is it beautiful but is also very special.

One night John made us a little fire pit and we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores!!!
John Alden had the best time!

And now we have some inside pictures!
This is our den... I'm so excited to have a fireplace! Even though it's a gas fireplace it is still going to be so cozy!!!

Our two French doors going out on the patio... This was John's design idea and I love it!

Our bedroom windows... Also John's
Idea that I LOVE!

My VERY OWN closet which was
MY idea!!!!

John and John Alden helping out with the bricks...

Love, love, love our cypress ceiling on the patio!

The ceiling unfinished in our den. John chose this new spray foam insulation for the house. Our AC is not hooked up yet in the addition and is still very cool so I'm thinking this is some good stuff :)

This is one of my favorite things so far.... Mississippi hand made bricks! LOVE the rustic look...

And here is the sheetrock going up ...

Check out the stamped and stained concrete ...I'm in love with this too :)

Another picture of the steps...

This is where my little carport will be... Can you spot John ???

My other little worker just working away...

Today I picked out my floor and shower tile.. Here is a picture of it next to the bathroom paint color ... My painters started today!!!! Yippee!

And you know I have to sneak in a couple pictures of my little man in this post too!!!

So now everything is really coming together. Some days are faster than others but all in all it's been a fun exciting time for us. I will try and post more pictures as things are done.
We just can't wait to move into our NEW space!

House update!

Things are moving fast on our new addition. Here are some pictures from this week...

I'm hoping they get some walls up tomorrow!!!
If so I will update with more
Pictures...

Catching up!

The past week has been a little busy
around the Russell house! Starting off with last Thursday night we had a quick line of storms to move through. Those storms just so happened to blow down a tree on John's
Duck camp....

So Friday morning we loaded up and headed over to the delta to check out the damage. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it was still bad.
After leaving the duck camp we headed to Grenada to first drop John's rhino off ( on his new trailer his parents got him for his birthday. He was so excited about finally having his own trailer!) to have it serviced.
We finally got to my parents house late afternoon and enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner of filets, baked potatoes, salad, and peach cobbler! YUM!!!!! My parents gave John another birthday happy
He has been wanting forever....

A new cooler!

Saturday morning we got up and headed to Jackson for my brother's big day!

He proposed to his girlfriend Kori!

My Brother and I before it all went down:)

Andrew and his bride to be!

John and I posed for a quick picture!
We had a great time celebrating Andrew and Kori's engagement. We are so excited and can't wait for the wedding in October.

This has been my view all week. John Alden has been riding his bike up and down the side walk from the time he wakes up from the time he goes to bed.

I'm slower but surely getting my spring decor out!

My brother met Jeff foxworthy the other day! That's kind of neat...

John Alden and the Percy boys! This is 3 of the 5 Longest Rd boys. They have had the best spring break playing together every day!!!

And last picture of my
Catching up post is from today. Opening day of turkey season and John got him a bird. He was so excited.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful spring break! We are totally
Enjoying this beautiful weather.
